A fantastic project from the brilliant artists and creators at HaZ VFX.

FUBAR was created entirely out of Nuke software mixing visual effects and still photography to create the motion comic cinematography to the whole film. Cat and dogs have been used as the characters to populate the war torn world and incredible visual effects and sound bring the whole thing to life in a way that takes motion comics to a new level.

Fubar was sponsored by the Foundry, Shotguns Software and Frishluft in terms of providing the visual effects tools to complete the project.

Motion Comics Reviews
I marvelled at FUBAR

This was a delicious piece of work to view. The artwork was a pure visual delight... The characters are a bit weird as animals, but it works. The message I got from it was: look how similar we are and how petty the differences we argue about are. Thank you for a beautiful comic, showing what is possible. I hope to see this excellent story concluded.

Re: FUBAR

A fantastic visual piece. The depth and quality of the movement and frames is so outstanding that it engrossed me regardless of what was going on story wise. A great short film showcasing what can be done in the motion comics style. Hats off to the crew that did this, I hope they do more. I hope they get recruited to do A Hulk motion comic. They'd nail his destructive style!
