Motion Comics Reviews
Re: The Witcher 2: Interactive Digital Comic

The Witcher is exactly what I had in mind when a friend of mine told me about the idea of motion comics a couple of years back. I saw some, where I was like okay, like the Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel. Which in my opinion nailed the idea. And I saw some where I was like, "Nope!" this is more like a illustrated film. The Witcher nailed it! This is a motion comic. The interface is perfectly suited for the iPad or any Tablet for that matter. Great sound track, great artwork and a great interactive engine. The more I paged through it, the more fun it was to behold. I especially like how you participate in the action sequences & pacing of the story. I love that it had gaming elements and how the sound and music all blend as you page through it. Maybe it's because I'm so excited that they finally got it right with The Witcher, that I can't really see the flaws as of yet. But in two or three years from now, when making comics like this is a viable industry on its own and believe me it will, The Witcher will go down as a milestone. I love it, this is the next step in the evolution of comic books.

Re: The Witcher 2: Interactive Digital Comic

This has to be one of coolest interactive digital motion comics since Ajax.

Just the right amount of motion comic to bring you into the page and not get too distracting. The atmospheric sounds helps put you in the scene,  every panel is a work of stunning art.
The navigation prompting is pretty good and the panel sliding in suits the iPads portrait well. Although swiping left, right, up, down can sometimes be confusing and pull you out of the story.
Nice use of establishing wide shots then adding panels over the top, makes me understand where the scene is taking place.
The interactive games to make the character blast some baddies brings this comic to life.

Overall a fantastic direction for motion comics.
